Ontario health officials have presented the worst case scenario.
New forecasting shows there will be more deaths in long-term care homes in wave 2 than in wave 1 if something isn’t done.
LTC deaths could be 26 hundred by February 14. Currently, 40 percent of Ontario LTC homes are in outbreak.
ICU beds occupied by COVID-19 patients are at 400 and could grow to over a thousand in February.
Health officials say we are getting closer to a steady five percent growth rate and if we do, we could see 20,000 cases a day by mid-February.
New data shows 1/3 of the Ontario population is still not doing what they are supposed to.
Officials also say there is no real change in people staying home during the lockdown and so stricter measures will be needed.
