The province will release new COVID-19 modelling numbers this week that the Premier says will be a “wake-up call” to Ontarians.
Doug Ford has also threatened a possible extension to the province-wide lockdown, if people continue to not follow the rules.
Ontario reported 3,945 new cases of COVID-19 and 61 more deaths related to the virus yesterday.
Sources say Ontario is considering implementing a curfew similar to the one in Quebec, which would be in place from 8pm to 5am in order to curb the spread of the virus.
That would mean that most residents could not leave their properties during that time and violators face fines of up to $6,000.
The Quebec curfew includes exemptions for essential workers, people walking their dogs, and a few others.
Health officials have since announced on Monday morning that an overnight curfew is not being recommended at this time.
Cabinet members are meeting later today to discuss further restrictions for the province.
Friends, we are going to see some real turbulent waters over the next few months. Our healthcare system is on the brink of being overwhelmed and we must take every precaution to keep our most vulnerable safe.

Ontarians need to hunker down right now and stay home. We need everyone to avoid gatherings with people outside your household.
If these basic measures continue to be ignored, the consequences will be more dire and we will have to look at more extreme measures. pic.twitter.com/7wuKFz09oL
