Another twelve cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the latest numbers for Huron and Perth counties.
Public health officials announced Wednesday six cases in each county, with two cases in South Huron, and one case each in North Huron, Howick Township, Central Huron, and Bluewater.
Huron Perth Public Health says a resident at the Exeter Villa died as a result of the novel coronavirus, since the last update.
There are currently seven active outbreaks at long-term care and retirement homes in the two counties:
Braemar Nursing Home in North Huron,
Hillside Manor in Perth East
Knollcrest Lodge in Perth East
Seaforth Manor in Huron East
Livingstone Manor in North Perth
Exeter Villa in South Huron
There are currently 96 active cases of COVID-19 in Huron and Perth counties.
