Bracebridge OPP have arrested two suspected impaired drivers on the same day, thanks to tips from the public.
A concerned citizen called police yesterday morning to report a vehicle swerving all over Highway 11 north in Gravenhurst, where officers were able to stop the vehicle and arrested a 57 year old from Victoria Harbour for operation while impaired by drug.
A few hours later, police received another tip about a snow vehicle being operated in an unsafe manner on Tower Crescent, where a 40 year old man was arrested for impaired, along with various offenses under the Motorized Snow Vehicle Act.
The OPP’s annual Festive RIDE campaign wrapped up on January 3, 2021 which saw an increase in the number of impaired drivers on Muskoka roads.
