It was a bad start to the new year for a Morris-Turnberry man.
Huron County OPP say they stopped a driver at 1:40 a.m. New Years Day on London Road near Moncrieff Road in Morris-Turnberry, and noted the driver had been consuming alcohol.
Reports say the driver failed a roadside breath test, along with two breath tests at a nearby detachment.
A 50 year old man has been charged with operation while impaired, with a date in Goderich court in March.
