Nine new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Grey Bruce Monday (Jan 4).
Public Health says two are in Brockton, two in South Bruce, two in Grey Highlands, one in Georgian Bluffs, one in Owen Sound, and one is in Southgate.
With four recoveries Monday, there are 46 confirmed active cases in the region and ten active probable cases. Probable cases are not lab confirmed, but are symptomatic and are high-risk contacts of an active case.
The Health Unit says there are 133 High Risk Contacts associated with the region’s active cases.
Two people from Grey Bruce are currently hospitalized. No one has died locally from the virus.
One retirement facility, Sepoy Manor in Lucknow is under outbreak protocol after a person working there tested positive.
There are no outbreaks in schools or childcare centres in Grey Bruce.
