An online petition has been created, appealing to the Premier to keep ski resorts open, after the provincial lockdown on Boxing Day.
The petition was created by Dwayne Cordoso, who writes:
“Skiing should be the safest sport to participate in with face coverings, mandatory space between patrons, and riding chair lifts with only family. In a time of immense negativity, this can also help our mental health, not to mention the exercise that we all desperately want. Most ski hills have created enough rules on their own to help keep COVID at bay on the slopes.”
He is asking the Premier to reconsider his position and the online campaign quickly gathered its goal of 15-thousand signatures in about 24 hours, so it has now been increased to 35, 000, with more signatures being added every minute..
