Public Health says six new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Grey Bruce Thursday (Dec 17th)
Two are in Hanover, and there is one each in West Grey, Meaford, Brockton and South Bruce.
With five recoveries, the Health Unit says there are 34 confirmed active cases in the region.
Public Health says there are six active probable cases. Probable cases are not lab confirmed, but are symptomatic and are high-risk contacts of an active case.
They say there are 205 high risk contacts associated with Grey Bruce’s active cases.
Four people are currently hospitalized due to the virus.
No one has died locally from COVID-19 over the course of the pandemic.
Lee Manor long-term care home in Owen Sound remains under outbreak status after a health care worker on temporary placement tested positive.
There are no reported outbreaks at schools or daycares in Grey Bruce.
