Huron County is leading the way in guiding its nine municipalities in all forms of expansion.
County officials have released a “Growth Planning Best Practices” guide for municipalities to use as a reference for anything related to infrastructure growth an development.
The guide covers issues like development standards, road and intersection improvements, stormwater management, and environmental assessments for new developments.
“The best practices within this Guide are to help clarify important processes and procedures related to growth planning activities,” says Director of Planning & Development Sandra Weber.
