A“soft launch” of Canada’s COVID-19 vaccination distribution plan is taking place today.
Maj. Gen. Dany Fortin, who is running Canada’s logistical side of the vaccine effort has said that they’ll have a dry run in every province, which will execute the process of handling the very unique requirements of transporting the ultra-low temperature vaccine.
The Pfizer vaccine is expected to be the first to get approval from Health Canada.
Fortin says, “We’re hard at it in the next couple of weeks to ensure that we are ready, and I kind of like the idea of being ready before the Christmas timeframe, so that we’re certain to be ready when it comes in January.”
Batched of it have begun to arrive in hospitals around the UK, ready for the first shots to be distributed tomorrow.
