The 81st annual CFOS Sun Times Christmas Fund Broadcast was a big win for a number of local charities and non-profit organizations in Grey Bruce.
With no public concert at the Roxy Theatre in Owen Sound this year due to Covid restrictions, local musicians entertained on the CFOS airwaves with recordings for the seven-hour fundraising broadcast Sunday and announcers read pledges to the tune of $40,000.
It is the highest amount ever raised by end of broadcast in the history of the event.
Donations to the cause will still be accepted until the end of January at any RBC branch in Bruce and Grey counties during regular business hours.
All of the funds raised by the 81st CFOS Sun Times Christmas Fund Broadcast will be distributed evenly between 22 charities and non-profits in Grey Bruce.
