Owen Sound is set to celebrate the 100th anniversary of its incorporation as a city tonight with fireworks.
They’re being set off at Victoria Park at 7 p.m. However, due to gathering and safety restrictions people won’t be permitted to watch the fireworks at Victoria Park or at the Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre.
The city has outlined several other spots to take in the spectacle: the parking lot at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre, Duncan McLellan Park and Heritage Place Mall.
The fireworks can also be viewed through a live stream on the city’s official Facebook page.
