With the cancellation of traditional Santa Claus parades during the pandemic, Elmvale and Clearview have come up with alternatives.
The Junior Farmers have come up with a tractor parade that will drive past Elmvale homes tonight at 7 p.m.
Residents are asked to leave donations for the Elmvale and District Food Bank at the end of their driveway or on the sidewalk for pick up.
On Saturday, December 5, the Creemore BIA is putting on a stationary parade throughout Clearview Township, where everyone is encouraged to set up a festive scene or “float” in front of their home or business.
Floats will remain in place as onlookers stroll, physically distanced, or tour by car throughout Clearview between 1 and 3 p.m.
In Stayner, Santa is cruising down local streets starting today.
The local Kinsmen Club is putting on the Santa Tours from 5 to 8 p.m. both Friday and Saturday this week and next, when monetary donations will be collected for the Clearview-Stayner Food Bank.
