The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported nine new Covid cases in the region Thursday.
According to Public Health, four people from Southgate, two from Grey Highlands, two from Arran-Elderslie and one Blue Mountains resident tested positive.
Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra says two of the new cases are from one household. At least one other case is a high-risk close contact of a previously confirmed one already being monitored by Public Health.
There are now 36 active known cases in Grey Bruce, as new positives only slightly outpaced recoveries on Thursday. No one is currently hospitalized.
Over the course of the pandemic, there have not been any deaths attributed to Covid in Grey Bruce.
