A man involved in an incident with police near Lindsay has died.
The Special Investigations Unit reports that on November 26, a 33-year-old man became involved in an interaction with OPP in the City of Kawartha Lakes.
When three officers discharged their firearms at the man, the man was struck.
The SIU says the man has now succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation, so far, has found that during the interaction, a one-year-old boy was fatally shot.
Just before the shooting, the man’s vehicle collided with an OPP cruiser and a civilian vehicle.
An officer who was outside the cruiser, laying down a spike belt, was seriously hurt and remains in hospital in stable condition.
