The Province is investing over $115 million to help 850 high complex care need patients access services in their own homes.
Premier Doug Ford says these are patients who no longer need to be hospitalised and that it will help ensure hospitals are not overwhelmed.
“We can provide them with nursing services, personal support services, meals on wheels, housekeeping and transportation to medical appointments,” said Ford. “this kind of care also means the world to patients and family.”
Today’s announcement also includes $14.5 million to support the expansion of virtual care for Ontario Health Teams and frontline home and community care service providers.

This funding will offer patients with complex needs more choices in how they receive care while making health care simpler, easier and more convenient. https://t.co/dryHk93ivw pic.twitter.com/0MZ110zG6C
