As of today, patients coming to RVH for surgery will require a COVID-19 test.
The hospital says any patient who tests positive for the virus must immediately contact their surgeon’s office to have their surgery rescheduled.
Once at RVH, if a patient fails to provide proof of a negative result, surgery will be postponed.
RVH reminds all patients to self-isolate for 14 days prior to surgery.
A COVID-19 test can still be completed while self-isolating.
