The online portal is now open for applications for the Support for Learners program.
Today Premier Doug Ford said it’s for parents to help with learning costs for their children and at-home care.
For every child up to the age of 12 years old, parents will receive $200 in support, while $250 will go to parents for every child or youth with special needs up to the age of 21.
“Whether your child is in school, in childcare or at home, families are eligible for the funding,” said Ford.
Applications will remain open at Ontario.ca/supportforlearners until January 15th 2021.
Parents across Ontario have been the unsung heroes of the pandemic. That's why we're providing additional payments to help families with some of the costs of learning and childcare as we battle the second wave of COVID-19. https://t.co/WcBFS6czhH pic.twitter.com/2yTOLrxOwX
