The town of the Blue Mountains is a step closer to having its own mandatory mask by-law.
The by-law requires face coverings in indoor and enclosed spaces, accessible to the public, in the town.
It has been passed by Committee of the Whole at a special meeting and will be considered now by full council at a meeting on November 30th.
The committee recommends that council approve an upset limit of $75,000.00 to hire two 6-month contract Municipal Law Enforcement Officers to provide education and communication; enforcement of the Face Covering By-law; and general by-law enforcement during COVID-19.
