You are invited to join local artists, musicians, writers, creative entrepreneurs and cultural administrators to hear inspirational presentations, share ideas and connect online at the 7th Annual Virtual Creative Collingwood Symposium.
The event will begin at noon today and the theme for this year’s Symposium is Creativity Under Pressure.
With panel presentations and Q&A, the event will explore topics including adapting, expanding and feeding creativity, collaborating at a distance, going digital and nurturing yourself and your creativity.
“There are many people working and volunteering in creative fields in Collingwood and the Creative Collingwood Symposium is a forum to bring this community together, exchange ideas and discuss new perspectives in an interactive and engaging format,” said Collingwood’s Arts and Culture Coordinator, Tanya Mazza. “In the face of unprecedented challenges, it’s important that the creative community stick together and continue moving forward.”
“The Creative Collingwood Symposium has been one of our best attended, most looked forward to and engaging annual events and this year’s virtual event is shaping up to be just as impactful,” said Tim Newton, South Georgian Bay Small Business Enterprise Centre Manager. “Our faithful audience and newcomers will not be disappointed with the creative approach we have taken to offer a fully connective experience.”
The Symposium is FREE, but attendees must register in advance, as space is limited.
