The Grey Bruce Health Unit confirmed three new Covid cases in the region on Tuesday.
According to Public Health, two Southgate residents and one person from Kincardine tested positive.
Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra says two of the new cases are close contacts of previous known cases already in isolation and being monitored by Public Health.
The Health Unit also reported six additional recoveries Tuesday, outpacing new infections and lowering the region’s active known cases to 47.
One person is currently hospitalized.
Over the course of the pandemic, there have not been any deaths attributed to Covid in Grey Bruce.
Grey Bruce does not have any outbreaks at long-term care or retirement homes, schools or daycares.
