The County of Huron is offering ways to battle “pandemic fatigue.”
Pandemic fatigue occurs when people become tired of public health precautions, and begin to drown out reminders to remain isolated.
Huron County has several recommendations for avoiding fatigued related to COVID-19 precautions, including:
- Prepare for activities, for yourself and family, that are safe and enjoyable so that you will not to not be tempted to engage in higher risk activities
- Follow the Huron County Museum and Huron County Library for a wide variety of virtual activities and resources for the whole family
- Continue to reach out to family and friends virtually
Earlier this week, Huron and Perth counties were moved to the “Yellow – Protect” level of the province’s COVID-19 response framework.
For Huron-Perth, that means social gatherings, like barbecues, will be limited to ten people indoors, and 25 outdoors.
Organized public events will be allowed 50 people indoors, and a hundred outdoors.
Religious services, weddings, and funerals will be allowed to operate at 30 per cent capacity indoors, and a hundred people outdoors.
Workplace screenings for COVID-19 will also be required, while face coverings will also be required indoors.
