Another jump in active cases of COVID-19 across Huron and Perth counties.
Huron Perth Public Health says there are 72 active cases of novel coronavirus Monday, a jump from 64 on Friday.
According to health officials, another four deaths were reported at Stratford’s Cedarcroft Place Retirement Residence.
There have now been 13 deaths in Huron-Perth associated with COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic earlier this year.
A total of 44 residents at Cedarcroft have tested positive, with 34 currently active.
18 staff at Cedarcroft have tested positive, with only three active.
A new case of COVID-19 was confirmed in South Huron, while HPPH re-assigned a case from Central Huron to Bluewater.
Women continue to make up the majority of COVID-19 cases in the two counties, at 60.1 per cent.
