Ontario’s State of Emergency has been extended a further 28 days.
The Ontario legislature passed a bill this afternoon to make the extension official.
The move allows the government to continue to use every tool at its disposal to protect people during the pandemic.
This means that until at least May 12th, orders like the closure of non-essential workplaces, parks and recreational areas, public places, bars and restaurants, plus restrictions on groups of five or more people will be enforced.
Premier Doug Ford these are unprecedented times and we can’t let our guard down.
