The Grey Bruce Health Unit confirmed five new Covid cases in the region Friday.
According to Public Health, two people from Hanover, two from Kincardine and one Brockton resident tested positive.
Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ian Arra says four of the new cases are close contacts with previous known cases that were being followed by Public Health and were already in self-isolation.
One new case has no clear source of transmission yet, and could be community spread.
There are 20 active known cases in Grey Bruce.
No one is currently hospitalized in the region due to the virus. Over the course of the pandemic, there have not been any deaths attributed to Covid in Grey Bruce.
Grey Bruce does not have any outbreaks at long-term care or retirement homes, schools or daycares.
