Barrie has a new way to commemorate Remembrance Day this year.
A new online map at the city’s website shows which streets in the City are named in honour of local soldiers.
The streets are marked by a poppy on the street signs.
By clicking the poppies, residents can learn about local military members who are memorialized throughout the city.
The info includes their occupation, rank and memorial location.
The map was created using research done by a Simcoe County District School Board Secondary School.
