The Province’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has terminated its investigation into serious injuries sustained by a 27-year-old woman last month in New Tecumseth.
On October 6th the woman, who was equipped with a boxcutter, attempted to take her own life near the Hwy 89 on-ramp to the Hwy 400 Northbound lanes by slashing her wrist.
The responding officer used a taser to stop her and then took her into custody safely.
SIU Director joseph Martino says it’s apparent the woman alone is to blame for her injures.
