A Hanover man has won some big bucks playing a lottery scratch ticket.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says Merlin MacKinnon claimed $100,000 on a recent Instant Bingo Doubler win.
The 61-year-old retiree and grandfather lost his wife earlier this year and says he feels like this is a gift from her, shining down on him.
MacKinnon plans to take some time to decide to do with the winnings, but expects to fund some home projects and look at real estate options.
The winning ticket was purchased at Mac’s on 10th Street in Hanover.
