A second resident of Stratford’s Cedarcroft Retirement Home has died, after contracting COVID-19.
The death is the second announced at the retirement facility this week by Huron Perth Public Health.
Health officials also announced an additional four cases of the novel coronavirus at Cedarcroft, bringing the number of cases linked to the retirement home outbreak to thirteen.
Three of these cases are in residents, and one is in a staff member.
The death toll from COVID-19 in Huron and Perth counties has now risen to seven, and there are now twelve active cases.
