Plans for a new senior’s residence in Elmvale are moving forward.
The Elmvale Active Seniors Residence has received a Ministerial Zoning Order from the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing to proceed with a site plan for a facility on Queen Street.
The order allows the Minister to make a final ruling on how a piece of land can be used.
It can’t be appealed to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal.
The proposed senior’s complex includes up to 240 one and two bedroom, affordable senior’s apartments with underground parking and a medical centre.
The next step of the project is the site plan approval process.
