The window of opportunity we have for flattening the curve during the second wave is closing fast and action is needed
Those words from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today who said governments can’t do it alone.
He urged people to keep wearing masks and social distancing.
On the Federal government’s part, Trudeau announced that the CanExport program is pivoting to help small and medium-sized businesses on e-commerce, online platforms and virtual trade events.
“Many small businesses have been able to stay open because they moved online,” said Trudeau. “We want to grow that potential.”
It means the government will cover new costs associated with entering international markets that have come about due to the pandemic.
Trudeau says we flattened the curve this Spring, he says it’s time to do it again this fall.
Our cases are rising. The virus is spreading. And the window to turn this around is closing. We’re doing everything we can to help the provinces, small business owners, and people like you get through this. Tune in to our Tuesday update for more: https://t.co/wAf491QBVQ
