Two people have been arrested in connection with a violent mugging in downtown Barrie.
Police say it happened on Friday night in an alley near Dunlop and Mulcaster Streets, sending a woman to hospital with a gash on her head.
As a result of the investigation, a 29 year old woman and 31 year old man, both of no fixed address have been arrested on several charges.
Police say the suspects, who are also wanted for two similar offences in eastern Ontario, are scheduled to appear in court today for a bail hearing.
