The Province is making a new multi-million investment in the education system.
More than $550 million will help build 20 brand new schools across Ontario and renovate another eight.
Premier Doug Ford says the new builds and upgrades are needed.
“That’s over half a billion dollars to create almost 16,000 more spaces for students as well as teachers an education staff,” he said.
The Premier adds it will also create 870 new licensed child care spaces.
School boards with successful projects that will receive funding will be notified by the Ministry of Education by October 30th.
Our government wants to ensure all children are successful. That’s why we’re investing more than $550 million to build new schools. This will create nearly 16,000 new student spaces & improve access to child care for working parents.
