A 62 year old Collingwood man is facing charges, after an alleged hit and run involving a crane near Ottawa.
Police say on Wednesday afternoon, a crane hit a power line, trees and posts surrounding a water fountain before fleeing the area.
The crane was later stopped on the 401 near Brockville, where the accused was taken into custody for impaired operation, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, Driving without a plate, log book, a proper license and an ignition interlock device.
The company has also been charged, in addition to the driver of an accompanying vehicle, a 48 year old from Collingwood.
