Premier Doug Ford is urging Ontarians to download the Ontario-made Covid-19 Alert App.
Easy and free, he’s ordered over 26,000 public servants to download it to their government cell phones.
It’s a small part of a bigger overall effort, and he urged Ontario companies to ask their employees to download it too.
“Please join the fight,” said Ford. “Spread the word to your employees and customers to download the Covid-19 Alert App.”
Ford thanked the numerous companies who are already helping promote it.
To date, 16 per cent of populations in provinces where it’s available have downloaded it.
Companies looking to help promote the app can find out more by clicking here.
Download #COVIDAlert, the made-in-Ontario, privacy-first app, that is available for free. The more people who have the app, the more effectively the province can #StopTheSpread of #COVID19. To learn more, and to download: https://t.co/nPicqKf5VM pic.twitter.com/KlwzoiFd2l
