New COVID-19 cases in Simcoe Muskoka have broken a new record today.
There are 36 new cases, including 14 at Simcoe Manor long-term care home in Beeton.
That’s the highest number reported in the region since the pandemic began.
The previous daily record for positive cases was set back on May 4th, with 34 cases.
There is a new case in Collingwood. Health officials are looking into how the man, 45 to 64, got the virus.
The other new cases today are in Barrie (9), Bradford, Innisfil, Essa (2) and a woman aged 45 to 64 in Huntsville, who has a community acquired case.
