The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the theft of a wallet and subsequent fraud in Gravenhurst.
On November 2, 2026, Bracebridge OPP officers began investigating the theft of a wallet that occurred in Gravenhurst, the suspects used the victims credit cards to accumulate several thousands of dollars in charges. On November 2, police charged a 42-year-old Gravenhurst woman with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Use of Credit Card.
Thanks to assistance from members of the public, the second suspect was identified and on November 3, 2026, police arrested and charged a 31-year-old of Gravenhurst with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Use of Credit Card. She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on December 15, 2026 to answer to her charges.
