Fundraising has kicked off for a new homeless and housing initiative in Goderich.
The United Way of Perth Huron and the Canadian Mental Health Association Huron Perth have launched a joint fundraising campaign to establish the Goderich Connection Centre.
The centre is meant to be a space where people experiencing homelessness, housing instability, poverty, mental health challenges, addictions and social isolation can access supports.
United Way and CAMH officials are looking to raise $906 thousand for the project.
