A neighbourhood in Kincardine had to be evacuated this morning following a fire.
The municipality opened the Davidson Centre as an evacuation centre while fire crews responded to the blaze.
Huron Terrace, between Broadway and Durham Streets was closed while crews were on scene, but has since re-opened.
The Municipality of Kincardine is working to accommodate those displaced by the blaze, and are asking members of the public to avoid the affected area in order to allow emergency crews to continue their work.
The municipality will provide information for those wishing to show their support of those affected.
There have been no reports of any injuries.
The municipality added the because the Davidson Centre is acting as a reception centre for those evacuated, the Voter Help Centre hours have changed.
The Voter Help Centre hours were originally planned for Saturday, October 10th from 10 am – 4 pm at the Davidson Centre. They will now take place in the Miller Room within the Davidson Centre.
