Bruce County is hosting a household hazardous waste collection event on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, at the Southampton Works Yard, 429 Peel St. in Southampton, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Accepted items include:
– Paints and stains
– Aerosols and solvents
– Propane tanks
– Fuel
– Used oil and oil filters
– Batteries and antifreeze

Commercial, industrial and agricultural waste, PCB materials, ammunition and flares will not be accepted. Check with your local municipality regarding the disposal of these products.
Containers must be 30 litres or smaller. Waste must be brought in disposable containers that staff will not empty or return (e.g., gas cans will not be returned).
