The Kincardine hospital redevelopment and MRI project has now reached $15.5 million, as it races toward the $18 million local share required for this once-in-a-generation investment in health care.
A couple more events are coming up in support of the Kincardine and Community Health Care Foundation, coinciding with the International Plowing Match & Rural Expo this week.
The Lighthouse to Lighthouse Half Marathon & 5K in Kincardine takes place Oct. 4. The half marathon runs from the Point Clark Lighthouse to the Kincardine Lighthouse, starting at 8:30 a.m. Both races are already sold out.
Another event pledging money is the annual Diwali Dinner, hosted by the Swajan Samanvay Sanatan Centre. More information on the event will be posted to the foundation’s Facebook page.
Pledges can be made over a period of up to five years, with all funds going toward the $18 million local share.
