The last Goods Exchange Event for 2026 will be taking place on September 19 in Owen Sound.
City residents can place unwanted but still usable items at the curb in front of their homes after 8 a.m. on September 19.
Popular Goods Exchange Day items include sporting goods, furniture, small appliances, books, art, tools, toys, doors, sinks, windows etc. Anything that does not find a new home must be taken back inside by 6 p.m.
To ensure that items at the curb are recognized as Goods Exchange Day items, we ask that residents tie a white plastic bag to one of the items at the curb.
Residents are reminded to drive carefully, watch for pedestrians, and obey traffic laws in their quest for curb side treasures.
