South Bruce OPP stopped a driver travelling at dangerously high speeds during proactive patrols in the Municipality of South Bruce.
On Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 10:21 p.m., South Bruce OPP members were conducting proactive patrols along Highway 9 when a vehicle was observed travelling in excess of 150 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
The vehicle was stopped, and the driver, a 20-year-old from South Bruce, was charged with stunt driving and speeding 50+ over the posted limit.
A 30-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and a 14-day vehicle impoundment were initiated, and the driver is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
