Just ahead of the start of school, Huron County residents can get an education on turtles.
The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority and Huron Stewardship Council are hosting a turtle hatchling release at the Morrison Dam on September 3rd.
Admission is free although those who can are encouraged to make a donation.
The public is invited to drop in, anytime between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., to enjoy educational displays and activities. Turtle hatchlings are released, back into the wild, every 20 minutes, starting at 1:20 p.m.
