The provincial government is investing $500,000 in Rosendale Farms to help the company build a new facility in Southgate.
Rosendale Farms, a fully licensed grain elevator, will spend nearly $8 million on the new manufacturing facility and grain elevator. The project will add large-scale grain processing and storage capacity, filling a regional gap.
“By supporting strategic investments from regional businesses, our government is protecting Ontario’s workers and creating the conditions for a strong, stable, and resilient economy that can weather any storm,” says Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Paul Vickers. “Rosendale Farms’ investment will support growth and innovation across the local manufacturing sector and create more good-paying jobs for workers and families in the riding.”
The $500,000 provincial contribution comes through the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund (SWODF), part of the Regional Development Program.
Ontario is investing more than $250 million through the program to help manufacturers grow while supporting regional priorities. To date, the province has backed more than 225 projects, leveraging over $2.8 billion in new investments and helping create more than 6,000 jobs.
