
The fifth annual Hindu Culture Open House returns to Victoria Park in Kincardine on Aug. 15 from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Activities throughout the event include:
– Parade around Victoria Park: Join the lively parade and experience the vibrant atmosphere.
– Yoga and meditation: Participate in yoga sessions and experience the tranquility of meditation.
– Interactive exhibits: Explore various displays showcasing traditions, art and customs.
– Customs and traditions: Engage in activities such as tying friendship bands, getting henna tattoos and trying on colourful clothing.
The open house will also feature traditional Hindu cuisine to sample, along with performances of traditional Hindu music and dance.
Chandra Tripathi, a founding member of Kincardine Multicultural Celebrations and the lead organizer for the event, hopes this year’s gathering will continue to cultivate pride and appreciation for Indo-Canadian residents in Huron, Grey and Bruce counties.
Everyone is invited to come together for an afternoon filled with cultural richness, engaging activities and community spirit.
