A driver who allegedly fell asleep at the wheel in a Port Elgin parking lot is facing an impaired operation charge.
Saugeen Shores Police say they responded to a report Sunday about a driver parked behind an establishment in Port Elgin, who was asleep with the vehicle running, foot on the gas pedal.
Police did not provide any information about which business this alleged incident occurred at.
Officers arrived on scene and found a 33-year-old Cambridge man fast asleep in the driver’s seat. He was arrested and charged with impaired operation.
