A 36 year old Barrie male faces several charges after fleeing police twice before he finally drove into a light post.
The accused was spotted driving erratically and at excessive speeds twice – and when police attempted to pull him over he took off both times. Police did not pursue in the interests of public safety.
After he hit the light standard, he fled on foot but was captured shortly after that.
His charges include dangerous operation, flight from police, and driving while suspended.
