OPP, in response to an alarming increase in dangerous and high-risk driving, will not only patrol on the roads this holiday weekend – they’ll be in the sky too.
Provincial police say the behaviours most often associated with fatal crashes are speeding, aggressive driving, seat belt non-compliance and impaired driving.
Starting today, uniform officers, supported by the OPP Airplane Enforcement Program will monitor driver behaviour on roadways in Orillia, Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Dufferin, Caledon, and Northumberland County.
