You may see some military aircraft during a training exercise next week.
Members of the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command will be conducting routine training in the vicinity of Muskoka, Meaford, the Bruce Peninsula, Sarnia, and Cockburn Island, Ontario.
The Department of National Defence says training will take place from July 27th to 30th between 3 p.m. and 2 a.m.
They say the training is primarily low overwater flight training. Residents can expect to see and hear up to three CH-146 Griffon helicopters in those areas.
The military says “All efforts will be made to minimize disruption to the surrounding communities,” adding, “The Canadian Special Operations Forces Command is extremely thankful for the support and understanding of the local residents during this valuable training.”
